Welcome to Moving into Light, a collection of information, resources and practices for people looking to advance and heal on a spiritual path through Yoga, Meditation, and Reiki.

In spiritual circles, we often hear about “enlightenment.”  What we’re really speaking of is the progressive movement toward the light of consciousness. Toward peace. Healing. Connection. Illuminative understanding. Joy. Delight. And yes, even fun!

When you move toward the light, you move away from darkness also – from depression, anxiety and worry, isolation. All kinds of obstacles on the path can be removed.  And true transformation can take place.

But how, you ask, can you experience the light?

The short answer is: with practice. Yoga, Meditation and Reiki are all practices that can carry us from darkness toward greater clarity, alignment and awakening.

In YOGA, the physical body comes into greater alignment. And develops strength and flexibility through practice of the asanas, or poses.

At the same time, yoga also guides the inner body into alignment. Restoring health and stirring a sense of wellbeing.  Once the inner and outer body are aligned, we’re able to find that “still point” in the seat of MEDITATION.

And in REIKI, we tap into the light of consciousness, so that we may bring balance to the entire system – inner and outer – and create healing within ourselves, and others.

So little by little, these practices move us into the great light of consciousness. We begin to see benefits. Maybe less pain. Maybe more calm. Maybe a slight shift in the way we look at life, or the way we behave. Perhaps the edges of our lives begin to soften a little.
